Dieting

It’s very sad, especially when you get to the point where your disgusted in yourself. I’m on the weight watchers diet. It actually works if you can control what you eat and how many portions. I’ve been on it since April 6th, 2009. Well I started a long time ago for a different reason, but then that’s the day I decided to start up again and this time keep an Eating Log.

An eating log is where I keep all the food I eat in it. Since I’ve started again I’ve lost 10 lbs. Which I’ve very proud of myself, but it’s not my goal. To reach my goal I need to lose 22 more lbs. Now people, you should know by now I’m not going to tell you exactly how much I weigh. I’m sensitive about that. ๐Ÿ˜›

Well recently, I’ve been going overboard on my points. Now I’m only allowed 24 points. Oh boy is that going to be hard. Starting every week you get 35 extra allowance points that you can use however you want. Week starting this week I went over my allowance points, which I’ve never done before! How many points did I use up of my allowance, lets just say a big number of 21 points ^_^’ fun. Then there was yesterday which I got overly hungry and ate a lot. extra points = 12! Now today it’s only 7pm and I used all my points, plus 6 allowance points. So to make up for going over the limited 35 allowance points I’m going to try to only eat 20 points tomorrow. That will be a hard thing to do.

I get very huge migranes people. Huge headaches that make me feel pain no matter how much medicine I take for it. My mom has come up with a theory that my diet is causing it. My stomach feels like I’m starving it, which I’m not doing actually. Vegetables are 0 points ๐Ÿ˜€ But I guess it’s not enough for my stomach so it growls at me and makes me feel hungry a lot of the time, making me feel sick, which makes the headaches.

So what I’m going to try to do is keep in my points, but also eat a lot of healthier things that aren’t a lot of points, just so I don’t keep getting these headaches. It sucks that my school serves a lot of crap in the morning that equal 5 points. I’ve literally calculated all of the points.

Oh yes to calculate points, it’s easy. You either own a book that says how many points a certain food item has or you get a calculator that you punch in the calories, total fats,ย and dietary fiber to get how many points it is. Another way to find out is that they have websites. Which I shall share with everyone ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have the calculator, type in a food item to get it’s nutrition facts. This helps mainly with restaurant items and stuff like that.

If you don’t have the calculator, try the online calculator that also tells how how to find points with a regular calculator.

If the food item isn’t in the book, check on this website. It might actually have something thats not in the book that you want to find.

Well that’s all for now. I have to get back to my homework. :O Happy Dieting! ๐Ÿ˜€

I can relate to this article as I know from first hand experience just how hard it is to lose weight, and to maintain it. I wrote a book called `Alone in the Storm,โ€™ which has recently been published, and it is about an overweight woman who subconsciously put on the weight to protect herself from being hurt by love. She struggles with her weight problems, and in the end she manages to overcome them, but not before she learns some important lessons in life, and realizes that in order to find love, you have to first love yourself.
